Having decided not to continue recording studio albums this release was an unscheduled product created out of the unique situation of 2020, where, like many people, he found himself with a good deal more time on his hands, which ultimately culminated in this album and writing a follow up story to “With Love Marie”.

Breaking with the majority of his albums Andy chose to play most of the keyboards featured on the tracks and also had the fabulous Ernie Mckone of Boogie Back Records co-producing the first Two singles.

Among the many notable contributions from musicians including Tim Cansfield, Andrew Smith, Jody Linscott, Vanessa Haynes and Perry Melius this album was made more poignant due to the sad passing of bass player Wayne Nunes this year who had worked with Andy for over Twenty Five years and the album has been dedicated to his memory.

Blue Star Boogie follows the themes of story and soundtrack with a light hearted look at Man meeting Alien species and Alien Species eating Man. But in the video at least they are quite cute looking.
